We ran a business on agents first.

foldrun started inside a property inspection company that needed its SEO, its lead pipeline and its content to run every day without a person driving them. The agents were written as markdown because markdown was what the people who knew the work could read and change. The runtime grew around those files, and the files never had to change to fit it.

That company is now one customer among others. It still runs seven desks — sixty agents, eleven flows, forty-six tools — on the platform you are reading about, with one person approving what needs approving. Every rule in the product exists because a run once went wrong in exactly the way the rule prevents: a reviewer that said ready on an empty set, a publisher that applied a hundred and forty links nobody had chosen, a Thursday proposal applied on Friday.

The bet is simple. Agents will do more of the work; people will supervise it. A platform for that should make the agent's job legible to the supervisor — one folder, one record per run, one headline per step — and make the supervisor's judgement structural: what a step cannot do, it cannot be talked into.
